Mary Forrest, "Fontmonger to the Masses." offers up a witty and fun
approach to a great freeware and shareware font site she has created. We really
enjoyed surfing this site. Lots of really cool and very unique stuff here for
font junkies and well worth a visit!
FontWiz
Don't want to spend a lot of time looking for individual font offers? Here's a
neat idea for a free font site. FontWiz offers a new compressed "zip"
package of 100 fonts every week that visitors can download and install. The site
also has an archive section that lists previous packages. Note: the "zip'
packages range in size from 2 - 3 mb's so you may want to download them during
off peak hours.

Looking for free original Web Graphics and Fonts for your Web site? This is a
nicely done site with lots of very interesting original graphics. The site also
offers PhotoShop" tips. They add new graphics stuff weekly.

This is a beautifully done freebie font site. Font Freak has over 7,000 fonts in
three categories. The categories are Fonts (Windows-Format) Mac
(Macintosh-Format) and Dingbats. Navigation on Font Freak is a snap. All of the
fonts have been alphabetized by name so finding the offer you want is a snap.

Here's a very well done free font site that has a lot to offer. It now
lists over 1000 cool (quality) fonts you can download right from the site.
Navigation is a snap and there's a good selection of help and font utilities to
go along with the rest of their content.

money for an expensive 3D graphics program? iq Auto lets you make cool 3D fonts
on-line and download them for FREE. The service offers a wide range of options
that include colors and textures. iq Auto is a little harder to use than some
other 3D services we've reviewed but the quality of it's output is good and the
final rendering of graphics it creates is very fast.

TrueType Fonts for the Web
Microsoft's free fonts for use with Windows and Macs on the Internet. Install
these TrueType fonts, and whenever you visit a Web site that specifies them,
you'll see pages exactly as the site designer intended. Note: If you are using
Win 98, many of these fonts are already on your system. Check your font folder
before downloading and installing. The sets include the new Euro currency
symbol. If you are using Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51 or Windows NT 4 you need to
download and install the appropriate Euro update. Visit Microsoft's Euro

This is a nicely designed and colorful freeware and shareware font site. Offers
are listed in a alphabetized menu. Shareware offers are clearly called out so
there's no confusion here. The site also offers a free instant logo generator
that allows you create cool custom images using any font.

fun layout. The sites specialty is listing font offers that are uniquely unusual
and even a little weird. All offers are in compressed "zip" format for
easy download. Navigation is easy as offers are listed in alphabetical order.
Freeware and shareware offers are clearly marked so you always know what you're
downloading. If you're looking for something offbeat, this is a great site to
find it on.

One Eye Foundry
Here's a very well done collection of original and very, very unique freeware
fonts offered on a super fast site. We do not use the term
"unique" lightly here. There are tons of super cool offers listed like
a great Braille font, a bevy of slick Web fonts and many more! All offers are
listed in a easy to navigate table format along with a short overview and
platform information. Clicking on the offer link takes you to a dedicated page
that has a complete description and a character display.
Microsoft's
Windows 95 Font Smoother
This free utility from Microsoft was previously only available with the
commercial version of Microsoft's "Plus!" software package. The
program smoothes monitor display text and makes it easier to read and look at.
Note: You MUST have your system display set to 16bit (HiColor) or higher. Also
the utility should not be installed on machines running Microsoft Windows 98.
Win 98 has font smoothing already built in.
